Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar approaches SC to transfer the case to Tihar prison


Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has approached the Supreme Court to request the transfer of the Mandoli case to Tihar prison.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been accused of deceiving several people by impersonating a central government official.

By India Today Web Desk: Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has gone to the Supreme Court to seek the transfer of the Mandoli case to Tihar prison, saying he faces death threats.

The court denied the petition and said ‘no relief can be granted to him like this’. Judges’ bench Ajay Rastogi said: “Sorry, that kind of tactic cannot be allowed here.”

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a complaint against the scammer on October 7 for deceiving a multi-million businessman by posing as a legal secretary.

The CBI had registered a case on May 27, 2020 by order of the Supreme Court of India and took over the investigation from the Chennai Police.

According to the indictment, Sukesh, together with a Delhi resident, Sanjay Jain, allegedly conspired to cheat by impersonating them using digital devices.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar recently made headlines for offering gifts worth over Rs 10 crores to actor Jacqueline Fernandez using extorted money.
